WordPress Performance Checklist
Use this checklist as a recurring maintenance routine rather than a one-time speed hack.
Hosting
Confirm resources, PHP version, error logs and TTFB are healthy.
Caching
Verify page/object/browser/CDN caches are configured appropriately.
Frontend
Compress images, remove unused assets, control third-party scripts and avoid layout shifts.
Application
Update plugins/themes carefully, profile slow queries and remove abandoned extensions.
Monitoring
Track real-user performance, uptime and regressions after major releases.
If hosting is part of the bottleneck
Compare managed WordPress hosting after you have evidence that infrastructure or support scope is limiting the site. Start with our managed WordPress hosting guide or see our WPX review.
